![]() ![]() The lack of tuning opportunities makes that problem unfixable, too. I suppose I could just get the Beck Custom and cheese it, but I always found that to have terrible traction. I'd welcome any alternative suggestions to the 240Z though.ĭrag Races: '71 Nissan 240ZG I use it just because it's quicker off the line than the Porsche, but I'm honestly looking for a dedicated drag car. Obviously not as quick as the RSR, but it'll still beat any speed event that isn't one of Eddie's Challenges. ![]() And in fairness, this car is surprisingly fast when tuned up! It favours a strong grip setup moreso than drift, mainly because it has very good traction at slow speeds for some reason. The protag's car was a royal blue 240Z "Devil Z". It is to high-speed street racing as 'Initial D' was to drifting. ![]() The 240Z is admittedly taken from an anime/manga called Wangan Midnight. "Oh I idolise Nakai-san so naturally my weapon of choice is a RWB 911 RSR." that kind of thing. Buuuut two of the five 'icons' both drive this car, and driving this car through Amy's and Spike's missions feels a bit like a 'wannabe'. It's hard to not love driving this car, especially with a good tune setup. Speed: '73 Porsche RSR + '71 Nissan 240ZG This is the game that started NFS' tendency to make the RSR so OP, IIRC. Question for those who still play is: What car(s) do you use, and for what race disciplines? And why?Mine are as follows: I've started playing it again enjoying it whilst EA's servers are still supporting it. As someone who grew up playing the Underground Series MW & Carbon etc, this was the last good 'plot-driven' NFS game. I know everyone has a different opinion, but for me this was the last "good" NFS. ![]()
